The Shearwater Group is the leading worldwide distributor of Electronic
Design Automation (EDA) software applications. Established in 1991,
the company maintains offices and distribution in all of the major
integrated circuit design regions worldwide. Our offices provide
our customer base of over 500 chip companies with superior sales
and support coverage conveniently in the local language.
We currently represent three EDA development firms, Pinebush Technologies, TOOL
Corporation, and Saratoga Data Systems.
We have been engaged with each of these firms since
1991 and 2001, respectively. We are proud to have helped establish
the Pinebush product lines as worldwide standards.
The Shearwater Group is structured as a fully decentralized distribution
organization with each office established as a regional business
entity. As a result, we minimize cost overhead and maximize results
for our R&D principals. One outcome of this structure is that today,
our offices in Korea, Taiwan, and China are the largest in their
respective regions. Additionally, our decentralized structure enables
us to have an engineering sales team of over 50 individuals worldwide
in constant contact with our customers.
The Shearwater Group is a privately held company, based in Dallas,
Texas.
