ever larger LSI design data and a more complex design flow. Besides that,
considering manufacturing process in design phase, DFM/RET is a demand
to improve product quality and reduce time to market. Thus, a versatile
standard layout platform that can be utilized throughout the design process
is strongly desired.
LAVIS, featuring TOOL's original fast displaying and memory saving technology
and various data format handling, dramatically optimizes your design flow
and hardware investment.
GDSII, OASIS and LEF/DEF format files as well as commercial E-beam/JOB
format files are supported allowing it to be used as a standard platform
in a wide range of flow including design, verification, mask data
preparation, inspection and failure analysis.

- Handling large scale data
LAVIS is able to easily handle the largest of data files. 10 GB, 100 GB, and much larger
size files are not a problem for the superior performance capacity of LAVIS.
- Analysis features
LAVIS is designed to enable the physical design team to have the utmost confidence
in their design. Besides extraordinarily high performance and capacity,
LAVIS offers features such as Data Cuts, Overlay of multiple files, XOR
engine, Job Deck comparison and analysis, Neutral tinting and grey scale
imaging, DRC review, and user customization to enable interfaces to DRC,
dummy metal fill, and other physical design applications.
- Multi-format
LAVIS supports GDSII Stream Format, LEF/DEF, Oasis, and multiple reticle
formats, including MEBES, Hitachi, JEOL, and Toshiba. it is also
applicable to various design data such as EB file with Plug-in
SDK.
