Saratoga Data Systems
FLUME

Saratoga Data Systems’ Flume performs high speed network transfers of very large data files. The Saratoga Data Flume uses a next generation low latency communication protocol that greatly improves file transfer throughput relative to TCP based transmission utilities such as FTP.

BENEFITS

  • Transfers very large data files faster than TCP based utilities, without network tuning
  • Improves throughput over long distance, high latency networks
  • Lowers costs by Improving utilization of available network bandwidth
  • Secures data with built in encryption, allowing secure use of lower cost public networks

FEATURES

  • LOW LATENCY TRANSFER PROTOCOL
The Saratoga Data Flume uses next generation, low latency, high throughput data communication.
  • CONFIGURABLE SECURITY
The Flume Receiver runs as a constant file receiving service that is user configurable to accept file transfers only from known clients, refusing transfers from all other clients.
  • SECURE PUSH MODEL
Flume allows only the sending of files from a user invocation of the Flume sender to a running Flume Receiver service. The Flume Receiver service only accepts files from configured Flume Sender programs. The Flume Receiver cannot send files.
  • AUTOMATIC DATA COMPRESSION
The Saratoga Data Flume uses automatic data compression and decompression to speed data transfers by reducing the amount of data transmitted.
  • AUTOMATIC DATA ENCRYPTION
The Saratoga Data Flume uses automatic data encryption to allow secure use of insecure, low cost public networks like the internet.
