Beautiful and dependable dive computer! Sad that these new bezels just came out and not a couple of months ago. It would be awesome if we could like trade-in our current all black bezel Teric dive computers and get a reasonable discount on this new colored ones. I’m in 🙂

I’ve been wearing the Teric with nylon strap for 2 months and I’m very satisfied with the quality of the strap. It took over a week for the nylon strap to break through to fit your wrist but after that, it’s very comfortable. I used a similar nylon strap on other diver computer but my biggest complaint was that they stayed wet and moist for a long time. However, Shearwater nylon strap will dry quick!! I dived with wetsuits and drysuit and fitted comfortably to both styles of dive! Small cons for this strap is during the charging of Teric, you need to slide the strap and you need to feed through the ring again so, in the rushed moment it’s a bit annoying.

How do you install the nylon strap?

Hi Lynn, to install the nylon strap with a Teric computer, you can use the tools included in the case to remove the lug screws and small rods. Lay the nylon strap along the backside of the Teric and reinstall the small rods and lug screws. Once tightened, the strap shouldn’t move too much, and you can adjust the sizing through the buckle. For the Perdix computer, here is a video from our Shearwater YouTube channel showing how: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufRrGI8umiM

Is there any video that shows the proper long strap installation for a Teric Computer? I’ve tried different ways to do so, but I’m not sure which is the right way. Thanks in advance.

Hi William, We don’t have a video demonstrating the installation of the long nylon strap with plastic buckles for the Teric. For these straps, you can remove the strap pins, lay down the nylon strap along underside of the Teric, and then re-secure pins in place. This should hold it securely enough in place allowing you to adjust the strap length at the buckles.

Can I replace the Bezel on my Teric?

Hello Matt, unfortunately the bezel is not replaceable. It is permanently bonded to both the sapphire window and AMOLED display, so replacing it would involve swapping out half the Teric and this would be cost prohibitive for a bezel change. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
