We are excited to announce the release of the SWIFT™ transmitter

RICHMOND, British Columbia – July 26, 2021
 – Shearwater Research Inc. is excited to announce the launch of the new Shearwater® SWIFT™ Transmitter.

With smart AI technology, the Swift creates a highly reliable connection, listens for other transmitters, and only communicates when the channel is clear by avoiding collision with other signals. Now, divers can use multiple transmitters near each other without worrying about potential interference.

This advanced technology is leveraged by our new firmware which includes support for up to 4 transmitters on compatible Shearwater models. This firmware also includes exciting new features like advanced screen customization and AI Sidemount mode.

The no-tools design makes it easy to remove and replace the Swift from the 1st stage. Gone is the need to find a particular sized tool to tighten or loosen the transmitter, making it perfect for travel.

A double O-ring seal protects a user-replaceable 3V CR2 lithium battery, offering up 300 hours of time. The LED status indicator lets the diver know things are functioning as they should at a glance during setup.

Some of the additional features are that the Swift is only 135g and 76mm x 34mm, is compact and rugged with a depth rating of 200 msw, and operates with gas pressures of up to 300 Bar.

The Swift is designed and built in Canada.

The Shearwater Cloud and new firmware are available for download. Not all features are available on all computer models. This is a purpose built transmitter and firmware package meant to include various forms of diving.

The Swift is available at retail for $480 CAD / $395 USD plus taxes and is available to order today.

Shearwater designs and manufactures scuba diving computers and advanced diving electronics. Our dive computers are highly sought after by divers at all development levels around the world. We also supply electronic control and monitoring systems for most major rebreather brands worldwide. Our products improve the journey for divers everywhere.

Hi Kenneth. That’s right, the Perdix AI and Teric use the same transmitters.

Hi there, can 1 transmitter be synced to 2 computers so if you had a Teric and a Perdix (primary/backup) they can both see the air for your 1 transmitter? Many thanks! Ben

Hi Ben, that is right. One transmitter can be paired as T1 and show pressure on both dive computers.

Bonjour Joseph. C’est exact, vous pouvez avoir 2 émetteurs pour le même ordinateur. Dans les paramètres AI, ajoutez-en un en tant que T1 et l’autre en tant que T2.

Hi Andy. That’s right, you can use the Swift with the legacy transmitters. With our latest firmware version on our AI computers, you can use up to 4 transmitters. Swift transmitters have collision avoidance so that there is no interference.
