About The Author

Lauren Ballou

Lauren Ballou first began scuba diving during her undergraduate program at Berea College. Finding a strong passion towards marine biology, she is now a PhD student in the Marine Biospeleological Lab at Texas A&M University Galveston Campus. Lauren has been recently trained as an AAUS scientific diver and full cave diver and hopes to use both in her research on cave-dwelling crustaceans.
