Shearwater Cloud BETA App Update – Mobile v1.0.1

 

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed issue with Rebreathers having problems connecting (ISC will still have a problem connecting since they have a separate issue).
  • Temperature now displays correctly.

 

Security and Permissions

  • Removed Phone, Contacts, and File Storage permissions from the app.
  • Updated server version for more secure cloud.

 

Other Changes

  • Diagnostics button has been removed.

  1. Hi, I change the number of the dive (11 to 350) on the Perdix with success then I upload all the dives to my IPhone 7 and the 350’s dive keep the same position so 11.

      Hi Bussod, this is a known bug where imported dive numbers do not match what is stored in user’s dive computer. We are still working on a fix for this. If you encounter any other bugs please let us know!

      • Hello Ibhave same issue. #2 on Perrin changed to #942. But after connecting and loading to iPhone 7 the app shows #2 but Perdue remains at #942.

      I have a Petrel ,predator and Nerd
      but the software doesn’t work on the I phone 6 but it cannot work with Bluetooth

        Hi Peter, Unfortunately the App only works with Petrel 2, Perdix, Perdix AI. The Petrel, Predator, and NERD will work with the desktop portion of Shearwater Cloud which will be open to the public by the end of the Summer.

  3. The divenumbers wont be display right. I make 5 dive before I set the start number of divelog to 274. Then I edit the other dives on the computer and set the number 273 to 268 for the first 5 dives.
    The app display after downloading the first five dives with 1 to 5 in the App and the 6 dive with 274

  4. I noticed on my Nexus 6p, that when I go to look at the dive data the screens overlay over one another and no graph is shown except for the side bar and bottom. But no data. This is the only defect I have found and have screenshots available to share. Beyond that love this beta.

Also check and see if this issue is effecting multiple dives or just the one.   5. hi, after clicking on the link to reset my password, it will go to chrome and says: This website is not save
    I was unable to reset my password. In internet explorer EDGE is was working fine.
    Cool that the Temp issue is solved
    I like the app so far, but would even be betetr that it can sinc with the deskop version.

  6. Will the desktop program and the cloud app be able to sync as well as the mobile app?

      Hi Stuart, the Shearwater Cloud app will be able to sync up with the desktop portion of Shearwater Cloud. You will be able to move all your dives from Shearwater desktop to the Shearwater Cloud desktop application. We will be releasing Cloud for desktop later in the Summer.

  7. Why does not it work with Petrel? Only Petrel 2?

  8. Does the cloud beta interact with the desktop program? How do I upload dives to cloud beta and then see them on my windows desktop program?

      Hi Gary, the Shearwater desktop program and Shearwater Cloud do not communicate with each other. However, later this Summer we will be releasing a a desktop portion for Shearwater Cloud and you will be migrate all your Shearwater desktop dives there.

  10. Hey. I installed the SHEARWATER CLOUD BETA on the iPhone and can not register.

  11. I’m unable to connect my Perdix AI using this application on my BlackBerry Priv Android smartphone. The perdix is set to find Bluetooth connectivity while the application is consistently waiting for device. My BlackBerry Priv uses Android version 6.0.1 . Any idea what I’m missing?

    Is there any update when Shearwater Cloud DESKTOP will be released?
    The Android Cloud Beta works very well for me with Perdix AI, but I would really want to export dive logs to my Windows laptop too.
    My laptop is running Windows 7, and unfortunately Bluetooth BLE does not work on Win-7, so it is not possible to get dive logs out from my Perdix AI with the laptop. So I am eagerly waiting for the Cloud Desktop.

    Any sight of when the Android Cloud Beta becomes an official release?
    Looking forward to the extra futures of this edition
    i think more users are waiting on those.

      We are working on Shearwater Cloud desktop and are very close to releasing it. We plan to do a full official release shortly after Shearwater Cloud desktop is available.

      in june it was stated that it was ready around the end of the summer.
      Its autumn is a fact already, leaves are falling.

    a few days again they released the desktop version of the Shearwater Cloud.
    I my opinion the dekstop version is a striped version of the normal desktop version with not all the functionality.

    It works fine but still miss the extra promised and the normal functionality from the standard version

    Have been pressing sync nothing happens

    What am I doing wrong

      Are you sure you are using Shearwater Cloud Desktop? Our traditional/legacy Shearwater Desktop software does not have sync capabilities. Please send us an email to beta@shearwater.com so that we can put you in contact with our software developers and fix your issue. Thanks.
