    Hello,

when I try to upgrade the firmware of my non-AI Perdix (hardware 02A) from V38 to V71 using the Android app I get the following error on the computer after a short while:

    Bluetooth error: send packet err.

Any idea how I can fix this? I use Linux at home, so I would like to use the app to manage the firmware updates…

    Thanks.

      Hello Alvaro,

There is a known issue for some devices where the Bluetooth connection is just a bit too slow with its LE connection for the Perdix. This can cause the user to see errors like: “Bluetooth send packet error” or “Slip RX Error”.

Our latest firmware release addresses this issue (from v53), so once you get this update you shouldn’t encounter this problem again.

Unfortunately, we don’t have a version of the app for Linux, so you will have to find a way to do this update on another device – any Windows computers, Macs using either Shearwater Cloud or Shearwater Desktop or other mobile Android or iPhone models running Shearwater Cloud should work.

      We apologize for the inconvenience.

“ascent rate indicator no longer shows the grayed-out arrow”.
Very, VERY useful change. Well done!
Reading the real number of arrows was very often a pain, due to the angle of the screen. Thank you.

If I may suggest one more change, I would add the “current average depth” with all the other parameters recorded every 10 seconds (or whatever, depending by the settings), to be downloaded and analyzed later.
Generally speaking, this “continuous improvements” attitude makes you the best. Congratulations.

Very nice. I’ve grown to love my Perdix over the past year. Such a nice and reliable device.

I hope you’ll consider improving the usefulness of AI transmitters for sidemount divers. Some metrics that take both tanks into account would be very nice, such as GTR, tank switch notifications. You know the drill.

Unsure when this occurred but I’ve recently noticed that upon viewing my iPhone Shearwater Cloud app, I apparently have a programmed CC gas. I can’t seem to turn it off. The last time I had no programmed CC gas being displayed was v53 and updating to v65 seems to have been the trigger for displaying an erroneous programmed CC gas. I’ve not dove on v71 yet but do suspect that I’ll receive the same results. I can post again after this weekend. Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated!

      Hi Aj,
This is a known bug associated with the iOS update. The problem is with the app and not your Perdix, we are working to update it now.
